It is important to review the code in-depth to understand the size requirements, setback requirements, parking requirements, and owner-occupancy requirements until the State Law becomes the minimum standard in 2026. However, there will still be areas in which ADUs may not be permitted, so don’t assume that in 2026 it will be a free-for-all whereas ADUs are concerned.
